About

About page . . . I’m about 5’5″ tall, have brown hair with copper and gray highlights, and look like my late German Shepherd Dog.  As a child I was a slow learner and to overcome my fear of school, as an adult I attended many of them. I eventually ended up with a Master of Science degree in counseling psychology and I’m a licensed mental health counselor. I care for my physically disabled son who has taught me things I could never learn in a classroom. Mental health is a passion of mine and this blog is about life, joy, and the pursuit of good mental health, no matter how eclectically it is achieved.

I’m blogging “The Tail Gunner’s Daughter: A Memoir” on this domain. It is a tribute to my Father, the patriarch of our family, a tail gunner who threw up his chocolate bars before each mission, and my opinionated mother who raised us with a firm stance and a warm heart.

I’m challenged when it comes to this site and I’ve proved it by liking my own “about page.” I unintentionally pushed a button and up popped my picture in the like section. As Winnie the Pooh says, “Oh, Bother.”

Comments are very welcome! I may be reached at danajdewey@gmail.com or dana_dewey@twitter.com.

Cheers to you,

Hey, I’m great, and WOW! I’m honored and pleased you liked my page. I will read the directions on how to respond to this award. Fair warning, it will take me a while. I’m learning how to work this site. Hope you are doing well! Cheers to you!

Hello! Thank you again for this “Best Moment Award.” I’m computer challenged, but I’m figuring out how to apply the rules for the award. I’m very grateful, just a bit overwhelmed at how this all works. Cheers to you!
